10. Rory Mcllroy, 2011

Coming off a near historic collapse at the Masters a couple months earlier, 22-year-old Mcllroy dominated the field at rain-softened Congressional in 2011, winning by eight strokes, setting or tying a dozen scoring records in the process, and sending notice that a new sheriff was in town. Like Nicklaus or Woods before him, he's become the defining player of his generation.
