There are no official bunkers on any hole on the course, but there are 30 acres of “transition areas" (compared to 27 acres of fairway) where you can ground your club and take practice swings (Dustin Johnson take note). This freedom does not necessarily make them easier. Some are soft, while others are hard and all of them contain seashells, pebbles, and other loose impediments not usually found in regular bunkers.
