This all-male club was President Nixon’s favorite while he was in office. He first played the course in 1953 when Ike took him there in an effort to get to know him better. What he discovered was what a horrible golfer Nixon was, so Nixon enlisted the help of Burning Tree’s head pro to help him improve. What he liked most about the ultra-exclusive club after becoming president was that it didn’t allow photographs.
