Steeped in history and Southern hospitality, the Homestead in the Virginia mountains features 50 live Christmas trees, more than 100 holiday wreaths and 3,000 feet of garland. The grounds glow with 82,000 lights while inside is an extraordinary gingerbread village. Activities include ice skating, holiday lights hayrides with hot chocolate and s’mores and photos with Santa. Guests can even bring Fido and Fluffy, as pets under 40 pounds are welcome.
