Ida Dixon

The first female architect in the country, if not the world, Dixon designed Springhaven Club in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, in 1904. Although the club’s first pro, Horace Rawlins, the winner of the inaugural U.S. Open, and acclaimed architect William Flynn later added their own touches, the course remains remarkably true to Dixon’s original vision.
