Golf/street shoes have really caught on with golfers in the last couple of years. The combo footwear means one less thing to worry about when you get to the course, while also being easier to walk in. And unless you’ve got a Bubba Watson-type swing with your feet moving all over the place or it’s a wet day, the nubs on the bottom provide more than adequate grip.
The only problem is that they look a little too much like tennis shoes for some people. Not so the new ECCO Tour Hybrid, which are so stylish that you could wear them with a suit, or at least a sports jacket. The Hybrid marries a classic leather upper with the company’s patented Street outsole, which has about 100 highly durable, wear-resistant TPU nubs that result in 800 traction angles. Other features include 100 percent GORE-TEX waterproofing, an incredibly soft Second Skin lining that wicks moisture and provides a luxurious interior feel, and a removable “Comfort” insole that increases air circulation for a fresh feel.
Clearly, golf shoes aren’t just for the course any longer.
