Bridgestone GC hybrid
HANDICAP: Low (0-9)
Thanks to a matte black crown that contrasts nicely with the satin silver face, our testers like the Bridgestone GC’s clean look, which makes it easy to align—important for an iron substitute. The club’s main feature is a “gravity chamber” in the sole that allows 20 grams of weight to be repositioned low and deep in the heel. The leading edge design gets progressively sharper to help prevent the turf skipping normally associated with higher lofted hybrids.

“It’s very easy to hit high draws, both off the tee and from the fairway,” says a 5. “Almost too easy—it’s great for short par 4s and I can’t wait to attack the par 5s at my course.”
