Callaway Big Bertha 460

HANDICAP: High (19+)
|
This is the latest incarnation of the driver that ignited the oversize
revolution when it debuted 16 years ago—at 190cc! Now at 460cc, the newest Big
Bertha has a flatter shape that is close to the five-inch-box size limit set by
the USGA, making it Callaway’s highest MOI club in an all-titanium head.
(Callaway is also introducing a square-shaped composite driver, the FT-i, with
even higher MOI.) The new Big Bertha also has a distinctive white stripe to aid
alignment and a light 55-gram shaft, features that our high-handicap testers
appreciate. A club line known for forgiveness continues to
deliver.
“It’s very easy to hit and the white line really helped me
square the club,” says a 22. “This could help me outdrive my buddies, unless
they start using it themselves.”
