Maxfli Fire
Maxfli is one of the great names in golf ball
history,
but other than the Noodle it has all but disappeared from shops. TaylorMade,
which acquired the company in 2003, wants to reinvigorate the brand; the Fire is
a good start, delivering distance, feel and value. $20 per dozen,

Bridgestone Tour B330/B330-S
Bridgestone has been making golf balls for
years but only recently started marketing them under their own brand. The B330
series (the S is softer) features a seamless cover and slightly deeper dimples
for a penetrating ball flight. Bridgestone’s new ball-fitting system begins a
nationwide tour starting in April.
