While Mizuno’s forged irons are regarded as the industry standard, the company’s drivers have enjoyed less widespread appeal. The manufacturer hopes to change that by taking the “Fast Track,” a moveable-weight system in the MP-600 driver that allows players to quickly adjust the club’s settings to one of 15 ball-flight options.

As testers tinkered with the weight using the tool that stores in the headcover, the ball-flight changes were subtle. Regardless of setting, the club tested well, with low spin rates. “Even with the weights in the neutral settings,” says a 5, “I had no trouble hitting my bread-and-butter power fade. But I also hit a couple of hooks on demand as well, which was a pleasant surprise.”
