Ecco Classic Premier

One of the newest models from the Danish shoemaker is a comfortable combination of technical and stylistic sophistication

By: Tom Cunneff

Good golf starts with a stable base, and nothing makes you feel as confident on the 1st tee as a new pair of boats, especially like those from Ecco that feel great right out of the box. The men’s collection for 2009 feature 39 styles.

What makes each one special is a proprietary direct-injection process for a one-piece shoe construction where you never have to worry about the sole separating from the upper. The labor-intensive construction of each golf shoe involves more than 225 technicians and typifies the brand’s attention to detail that results in an incredibly durable and comfortable shoe.

The Classic Premier embodies the company’s distinctive standard. A fusion of traditional style and modern technology, the Classic has outsoles engineered for enhanced lateral torque and increase stability throughout the swing. The beautifully finished leather uppers top a three-component insole unit with an integrated heel stabilizer for superior cushioning and climate-control.

The “Dynamic Energy Return System” provides a trampoline effect during foot-strike and follow-through to reduce fatigue and restore energy with each step, while the two-colored Champ 3 Stinger cleats with the Q-Lok receptacle system provide superior traction.
