Odyssey is on a roll, quite literally, with its putters, having already captured eight victories this year on the PGA Tour. The most significant win, of course, was at the Masters when Phil Mickelson won this third Green Jacket.
To celebrate his triumph, the company is releasing a limited edition design, the ProType 82 putter, inspired by the model Mickelson helped develop over the last few years and used at Augusta.
Reminiscent of Wilson’s legendary 8802 blade popularized by Arnold Palmer and Ben Crenshaw in shape, though not finish, the PT 82 features Odyssey’s new White Ice insert backed by a tungsten weight and a single white sightline from the face down the back flange.
You’ll have to act fast if you want one, however. Odyssey is making only 164 of them (82 right-handed and 82 left-handed). Beginning May 10 at 11 AM ET you can sign up at odysseygolf.com to purchase each individually numbered putter on a first-come basis.
