One of the singular appeals of golf is playing well over a series of particularly challenging holes. There is no sense of accomplishment quite like playing in even par on ominously named stretches like the Cliffs of Doom, the Snake Pit and the Horrible Horseshoe.
Some of the following three-hole stretches are notorious enough to have earned nicknames, but there are other consecutive holes that deserve special recognition. So in the cases in which holes don't have monikers, we've suggested one.
