Pete Dye loves to tweak his courses and the Ocean Course is no different. In 1997, he made a number of changes to make the layout more playable, like adding collection areas around many of the greens. In 2002 and 2003, he added new tees on seven holes, widened fairways, and shifted the 18th green closer to the dunes and the Atlantic. He also converted all the greens to paspalum and reclaimed original fairway bunker lines that had changed on five holes because of shifting dunes.
