In a brilliant display of ball-striking and course management, Jason Dufner atoned for his heartbreaking playoff loss at the 2011 PGA Championship in Atlanta by shooting a final round 2-under 68 to distance himself by two strokes from Jim Furyk. Dufner’s four-round total of 270 was four shots better than the five previous majors held on Oak Hill’s East Course. The Donald Ross-designed layout played long and tough due to late summer rains.
