ProQuip TourFlex rain suit

This stylish, functional outerwear is the Scottish company’s best “waterproofs” yet

By: Tom Cunneff

Just because cold, rainy weather is upon us doesn’t mean you have to be relegated to swinging your club indoors while watching Golf Channel. All you need is one of these superior rain suits and a little sense of adventure to brave the elements.

Developed over the past three years by the Edinburgh-based company, which has supplied waterproofs to 19 European and U.S. Ryder Cup teams, the proprietary TourFlex fabric is remarkably light, quiet, and flexible, allowing for an aggressive, athletic swing. A fine plain weave rather than a knit makes up the two-way stretch fabric, enabling elasticity through the whole garment, not just in panels. The material also allowed ProQuip to create a more stylish, slimmer cut, particularly with the TourFlex Playing Top, which is new for this year.

With a TourFlex rainsuit, you might just be hoping for bad weather.

Colors: (Jacket) black/white/red; royal/black/white (Playing Top) black/white/red;  royal/black/white. (Trousers) black.

MSRP: Jacket $240, Playing Top $240, Trousers $180; three-year waterproof guarantee
