Secession Golf Club, 17th holeBeaufort, S.C. While most island greens have some margin for error around the edges of the putting surface, this hole is nothing but green. But all is not lost for balls that do not land on the putting surface. There is a chance to recover from the surrounding marsh, especially at low tide. Good thing, too, because the near-constant wind at this Lowcountry layout near Hilton Head Island lowers the odds of hitting the green.
