The kitchen used to be three small rooms. Libby did a terrific job working with the architect, creating lots of nooks and crannies to store stuff. That dark green oven is a British beast called an Aga, quite the rage in the U.K. It works differently than a normal oven, has different compartments for baking vs. broiling vs. warming and doubles as a room heater, very welcome in the winter months though somewhat annoying in August.
