Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

In a classic survival-of-the-fittest final round, Tiger Woods double-bogeyed the par-four 14th to squander a two-shot lead but saved par with a clutch eight-foot putt at the 15th hole, enabling him to cruise to his second Players Championship victory. Woods finished two shots ahead of Kevin Streelman, David Lingmerth and 49-year-old Jeff Maggert, but his chief rival throughout the day was Sergio Garcia, who came to the par-three 17th tied for the lead but pumped two balls into the water to douse his chances.
