It doesn't get much better than Secession Golf Club iin Beaufort!

Favourites have to be the Dunes, which is great but the par 5 signature hole is a bit of a let down. True Blue is a real tough challenge where you need to be on your game and Caledonia is a treat to play without being overly difficult.

LOVE Caledonia! Must-play when go to Myrtle Beach. Also enjoyed the new Fazio course at The Cliffs.

I recently played Berkeley Hall and had a wonderful time. They definitely have the best practice/teaching facilities that I have ever seen!

God, there are so many good ones it's hard to choose, and my favorite course is usually the one I'm playing, but I just played the May River Golf Club course, a Nicklaus design, at Palmetto Bluff. It was not only beautiful but extremely challenging, with crowned greens and tightly mowed chipping areas.

A few months ago I had the pleasure to play Wachesaw Plantation Club. A challenging yet fun course situated in a lovely setting representative of low country golf. Make sure you allow a little extra time on the back nine and take in the history that surrounds a number of the holes. Especially the 15th tee where an antebellum mansion surrounded by huge live oaks looks out from high onto the sloping fairway - truly spectacular.

I played the new Pete Dye course, Herron Point, at Sea Pines. It's terrific. Big improvement on what was there before, lot of movement to the fairways, lot of bunkers, railroad ties, typical Dye. I played it from the tips at over 7,000 yards but there was only one par 4 that was over 450. Most of the length came on the par 3s and par 5s. I highly recommend it the next time you're in Hilton Head.

Played 27 holes at Shipyard and 54 holes at Port Royal during week 45 of 2007 and enjoyed all 81 holes. Nice weather and a good variety of golfing
experiences as we played 144 holes in 8 days.

Has anyone played the new Pete Dye course at Sea Pines??????

September at the Sea Pines Resort was a bit hot and full of bugs. Other than that the Ocean Course and Harbour Town Golf Links were both nice but challenging. I especially enjoyed playing at Palmetto Hall. The reception was wonderful and not as difficult to play. It's way more peaceful there with few distractions. Resorts tend to be busier with more staff and maintenance working during play.

Harbour Town ...it requires every club in the bag
and the small greens make them hard to hit.

Palmetto Bluff is a very beautiful Low Country Course.

Recently played The Dunes Club in Myrrle Beach which is a classic layout and certainly one of the best in the state. A strong collection of holes with a number of different looks. Highly reccomended
