For a PC:
1. Select your monitor size and click on the corresponding link (above).
2. Right-click on the image in the new window.
3. From your browser's pop-up menu, select "Set as Wallpaper" or "Set as Background".

For a Mac:
1. Select your monitor size and click on the corresponding link (above).
2. Click and hold on the image in the new window to bring up a pop-up menu and choose to save the image to any convenient location on your hard drive.
3. OS 9 or older: Under the Apple menu, go to Control Panels and select Appearance. OS X and above: Go to your System Preferences and then Appearance.
4. In your Appearance control panel, click the tab marked "Desktop."
5. Click "Place Picture" (if you already have another picture as your desktop image, click "Remove Picture" first, then "Place Picture"). Use the dialog box to locate and open the image you downloaded.
6. Close the browser window.

Screensaver download

This is a program file which will automatically install as a screensaver. A screensaver appears when your computer goes in to "sleep" mode.

SCREENSAVER INSTRUCTIONS

For a PC:
1. Select the PC link above to download the .ZIP file containing the Windows version of the screensaver to your desired directory.
2. After downloading, go to the directory where you downloaded the archive. Double-click on the screen saver file: "PCInstall_Great_Walks.exe"
4. When the program launches, simply follow the prompts to install the screensaver and you're done!

For a Mac:
1. Select the Mac link above to download the .SIT file containing the Macintosh version of the screensaver to your desired directory.
2. After downloading, double-click the downloaded file "GreatWalksMAC.sit" on your desktop. This will create a new file called "MACInstall_Great_Walks" (This step may require the latest version of Stuffit Expander, available for free download here). On some systems this step will happen automatically, in which case you can skip to step 3.
3. Next, double click "MACInstall_Great_Walks". When the program launches, simply follow the prompts to install the screensaver and you're done!
