10. Castletown Golf Club

The Open has never been held on one of Britain's minor islands, where plenty of compelling golf can be found. Castletown on the Isle of Man is a links with the right pedigree—designed by Old Tom Morris, it was brought into the modern age by P.M. Ross of Turnberry fame. Askernish in the Outer Hebrides and Royal Jersey, Harry Vardon's boyhood home in the French-inflected Channel Islands, are other islands that are fun to daydream about.
