WHYThe contours of the Old course make for subtle challenges. The margin between a great shot and a disastrous one can be razor-thin.
WHY NOTIf the Open ever returns to Ireland (and there doesn’t seem to be much of a movement afoot), Ballybunion’s location in the southwest is a bit remote from the island’s major population centers.
