Class of 2010

The most significant course openings of the year

Given the current economic climate, it’s not surprising that there aren’t very many courses that are scheduled to open in 2010.

But this year’s openings are all about quality, not quantity. And if courses like Bahia de los Sueños (18th hole, pictured), is any indication, it should be a great year for architecture.

Celebrating its grand opening last week, Davis Love III's dunescape layout in Mexico leads off a strong lineup that boasts power hitters like the highly anticipated Old Macdonald, the fourth course at the Bandon Dunes Resort, and the Prairie Club, which will feature 46 holes in the Nebraska Sandhills.
