Arnie's Army

On the occasion of Arnold Palmer's 80th birthday, his 10 best courses you can play

Happy Birthday Arnie!

Among Arnold Palmer's numerous achievements during his eight decades, perhaps the most important and most lasting was the way he brought golf to the masses. So it’s only fitting that on his 80th birthday, we honor the man with a list of his 10 best public courses.

Oddly enough, the course with which he is most associated, Bay Hill, the site of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, is not one of his original designs.(It was designed by Joe Lee.)

But Palmer has put plenty of his own touches on the 7,267-yard layout and the course is definitely worth a visit, if only for a chance to offer the King your warm wishes in person.

But there are plenty of other Palmer courses that are worth playing, and we bring you the top 10 Arnold Palmer courses you can play in the United States and Great Britain and Ireland. We can think of no better way to celebrate this momentous occasion. So click the link below to see where you can tee it up with the King.
