The closing three holes, all par 4s of 450-plus yards (18th hole, pictured), form one of golf’s most difficult finishes, as the contenders in the 2006 U.S. Open found out. Of the top five finishers, only Geoff Ogilvey made par on all three holes, and he was only able to do that by holing a chip on the 17th.
