20. Seven Oaks Golf Club

Colgate University
Hamilton, N.Y.

Robert Trent Jones Sr. has strong Upstate New York roots: He grew up in Rochester, went to college at Cornell and one of his first course designs was Seven Oaks. Although designed in 1934, the Great Depression then World War II disrupted construction and ground wasn’t broken until 1956. The 6,915-yard Seven Oaks was the site of the 1977 NCAA Championships.
