16. Palouse Ridge Golf Club

Washington State University
Pullman, Wash.

Seattle native John Harbottle sited a 7,308-yard layout on an area of rolling hills formed by glaciers during the last Ice Age. It was one of the best new courses to open in 2008, and in addition to being home to Washington State’s men’s and women’s golf teams, the links-style course is open for daily-fee play in an area of southeast Washington underserved by first-class layouts.
