Boston Red Sox Pinehills Golf Club

Pinehills Golf Club
Plymouth, Mass.

If Fenway Park has the Green Monster, Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, 40 miles south of Boston, has 36 monster greens in the form of two courses, by Rees Jones and Jack Nicklaus II. Jones, who first gained prominence with his restoration of The Country Club, returned to the Boston area to build the first of Pinehills’ two layouts, which opened in 2001. A year later, Nicklaus used the rolling landscape to design a challenging layout as good as many of his father’s designs.
