Like he did at Shadow Creek outside Las Vegas, Tom Fazio manufactured a landscape at the Glen Club out of a flat site. This time, his canvas consisted of the runways of the former Glenview Naval Air Station. But unlike Shadow Creek, where the lush course is completely out of place in its desert surroundings, the Glen Club looks as though it belongs completely in its location, the suburbs north of Chicago.
