Winding through the eponymous vineyard in the East Bay that dates to 1883 and has been in the Wente family for five generations, the 7,181-yard layout was designed by Greg Norman, who himself is in the wine business. On a setting that is uniquely California, the course, which opened in 1998, rests naturally in the foothills of the Livermore Valley.
