This spring, residents of Brightwater, located in the Vail Valley, will be able to ski and play golf on the same day, thanks to the opening of the club’s 8,005-yard course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. That may sound long, but consider that the elevation is more than 6,000 feet, so it shouldn’t play any longer than, say, 7,300 yards.
