Municipal golf courses are the backbone of American golf. They offer the most affordable experiences and allow golfers of all backgrounds to come together and enjoy the game.

Unfortunately, the mention of muni golf conjures up images of pull carts and T-shirts, simplistic architecture and scruffy conditions. While the first two are refreshing in a golf industry that sometimes takes itself too seriously, the latter is absolutely false. It may come as a surprise that name architects like A.W. Tillinghast, Donald Ross, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio have designed municipal courses.
