La Costa Resort and Spa

An iconic property set in coastal foothills north of San Diego, La Costa, one of the first resorts in the nation to offer a “Golf & Spa Package,” was treated to a $50 million refreshment two years ago that resulted in updated guest rooms, remodeled public spaces, and new dining experiences. The Champions Course, a Dick Wilson design that hosted the 2012 LPGA Kia Classic, has been totally restored and now features bentgrass greens, plush Bermuda fairways, and strategically placed bunkers. La Costa’s South Course recently unveiled four redesigned holes and introduced a new agronomic policy, with 30 acres of turf removed to reduce water use and enhance sustainability. The resort is home to the PGA Tour Academy’s only west coast location.
