Montana’s Flathead Valley

For home-on-the-range hospitality, excellent value, and mountain splendor, Montana's Flathead Valley, flanked by over a million acres of federal wilderness near Glacier National Park, offers a peak experience in the northern Rockies. The average summer daytime high around Flathead Lake, the largest (and cleanest) freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, is 82 degrees. The region’s top courses, notably Eagle Bend, Northern Pines, and Whitefish Lake, are among the least heralded and most breathtaking public-access courses in the American West.
