Quebec, Canada

Montreal, gateway to "La Belle Province," is a cosmopolitan metropolis that comes alive with street fairs and outdoor cafes in summer. For golfers, the city is within a half-hour’s drive of Atlantide, Saint-Raphael, Le Parcours du Cerf, and Metropolitain Anjou, a fine sampling of courses designed by native son Graham Cooke. Further afield is Joliette, a semi-private course designed by Howard Watson (a Stanley Thompson protégé) that offers a challenging test in a tranquil setting at the base of the Laurentian Mountains.  Also recommended is Carling Lake, a full-service resort with a mature, tree-lined course tucked in mountain foothills.
