Advanced traction and stability platforms characterize Callaway Footwear’s new 2014 product line. The X Cage-Vibe, featuring a spikeless outsole co-developed with Vibram, and X Cage-Pro with 11 PINS Pro Flex Performance spikes, were designed to ensure the shoes maintain a minimum of three points of contact with the ground throughout the golf swing for superior grip. Adapting traction technologies used in extreme mountain climbing, the Vibe outsole is the culmination of Callaway’s and Vibram’s combined research into maximizing traction during the weight transfer of a golf swing. Both the X Cage-Vibe ($150) and X Cage-Pro ($190) feature insoles from Superfeet, the specialty run and outdoor market leader in insoles.
