The Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau has released its 2013 Golf Guide with listings for more than 100 courses, qualifying this California desert oasis east of Los Angeles as a genuine golf mecca. Walled in by towering peaks and known for its ideal winter weather, the region’s courses have been laid out by many of the game’s greatest designers. Through early April 2013, visitors can check out the World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum’s traveling exhibition, “Bob Hope: An American Treasure,” which highlights the late comedian’s life, including his time as the face of one of the PGA Tour’s iconic tournaments.
