Two Texas tour events bookend the Masters. This week it's the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio located in the heart of the Lone Star State's Hill Country.
With its varied vegetation and rolling topography, the Hill Country makes an ideal canvas for golf. Top architects like Tom Fazio, Ben Crenshaw and Arthur Hills have taken advantage of this landscape to build fun, challenging courses at the top resorts in the region, which has both San Antonio and Austin as epicenters.
This collection of resort courses makes the Hill Country a great golf destination. And the offerings keep getting better. In addition to the Valero Texas Open's new host course at TPC San Antonio, Greg Norman's AT&T Oaks, Pete Dye also contributed a design at the facility for a powerful Texas Two-Step.
