Crenshaw Cliffside CourseBarton Creek Resort & Spa Austin native Ben Crenshaw stayed at home for his first design. Along with design partner Bill Coore, Crenshaw crafted a 6,553-yard course that sits naturally on the varied terrain.
As with the duo’s renowned subsequent designs, the Cliffside course has wide, rolling fairways that encourage multiple lines of play. The fun, generous playing areas from tee to green give players an opportunity to position themselves properly for approach shots to the large, undulating putting surfaces that are the course’s main challenge.
