Brookfield Homes Hawaii is one of the state’s leading builders with developments at some of Hawaii’s most prestigious golf courses—Nihilani at Princeville, Pilimai at Poipu and Kamilo at Mauna Lani.

What makes it special? Brookfield Homes Hawaii has a deep love for the islands which is evident in the homes and neighborhoods it builds. Whether an attached or single-family home, their designs reflect the beauty and majesty of the environment and provide owners with the very best in amenities and appointments.

Recently, they teamed up with ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” to share their generosity and provide a local family with much-needed renovations to their home.

Brookfield Homes Hawaii President Jeffrey Prostor reflects, “It was easy for us to say yes to be part of this amazing project. In the truest sense of ‘ohana’ (family), our talented team members, our local vendors and partners, and our community are coming together to build the Akana family’s dream home.”

Brookfield Homes Hawaii offers owners the chance to “live the difference” and if you visit any of their spectacular developments, you will know just how special that difference is.

Unique Fact: Brookfield Homes Hawaii offers attached homes from $600,000 to $900,000 as well as single-family homes from $800,000 to $2 million.

What makes it special? The 18-hole Prince Course has been ranked by Golf Digest as Hawaii’s No. 1 golf course and is the only course in the State of Hawaii to be recognized on their 2006-2007 list of America’s “Top 100 Greatest Courses.” It is unquestionably one of the most spectacular and challenging courses a golfer will ever play. The Prince is Robert Trent Jones Jr. masterpiece, encompassing 390 acres of rolling terrain, tropical jungles, gullies, streams and waterfalls. Jones Jr. says the Prince Course is “one of the top five courses I’ve ever designed.”

The Makai is a beautiful 27-hole layout made up of three nine-hole courses that extend in spokes from the clubhouse and encompass 200 acres. Each nine has a distinct personality and scenic flavor, reflected in their names–the Lakes Course winds its way around serene lakes; the Ocean Course runs to the spectacular coastline and back; the Woods Course meanders through native woodlands. The courses boast an integrated design, so any combination of the three nines provides a challenging 18-hole round.

Unique Fact:

The Makai Course, which opened in 1971, was course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr.’s first solo effort. He recalls, “Several years ago, as I stood perched atop a Hawaiian bluff that offered breathtaking vistas of the Napali mountains, the Pacific Ocean and the ravines and dense tropical vegetation below, I knew I’d found the perfect spot for the first tee.”
